We sang one of my favorite hymns today, I Know that My Redeemer Lives, and the choir ROCKED! They sing SATB hymnal arrangements very well to begin with. But the best part was the 4th verse. Our organist asked them to sing it in unison so that he could improvise on the organ, which he did, rather masterfully, and that was of course wonderful, but what really knocked your socks off was the LOUD, BLENDED, JOYOUS unison singing!
He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Savior still the same!
What joy the blest assurance gives:
I know that my Redeemer lives!
He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Savior still the same!
What joy the blest assurance gives:
I know that my Redeemer lives!
