The Church Music Management System is a handy resource for hymns, with information (unique, I believe to public sites) on the history of hymns and their inclusion in hymnals.
Particularly interesting are the inclusion of hymnals not as well known in the West, and hymnals published this year.
The site has a bug or two--just when you might want some info it's not there, for example, and some of the more obscure hymnals (e.g. The American Catholic Hymnal) to the exclusion of more important hymnals, such as Worship--but overall it's a great effort and potentially useful resource.

Thank you kindly!
No link, when I googled it, it looked as if I need to download the database rather than use it on line?
But I'm a luddite, I probably have it wrong...
No time to explore the site now, I guess I have a project for this evening!

Thanks, Scelata!
I've linked it up (sorry!) particularly to a page that has the hymnals on it.
There is a download available, which I didn't see before you mentioned it. Well, for what it's worth, there it is!
